About Us

Ardgay Game is a second generation family business. Established in 1982 by Les Waugh, the company was originally based in the small village of Ardgay. The opportunity then arose to expand and Ardgay Game took over the Bonar Venison Group.

Over the years the managing director, Les Waugh, has driven the company forward to reach today's position as a prominent wholesaler of premium venison and game, sourcing and supplying some of Scotland's finest products.

Key to Ardgay Game's success has been building strong relationships based on family values. It is these relationships that have led to Ardgay Game's success and reputation in the overseas market.

Over recent years, the British public have become more appreciative of this natural, healthy, "home grown", seasonal product and domestic sales have grown substantially.

And - that is where the second generation comes in - with one son helping to steer the company to greener pastures and another setting up his own venison and game company (wildgameco) in London.

This new found enthusiasm and exuberance has inspired the founder, Les Waugh, to invest in the future and expand the Ardgay premises.

All meat products are local - from the mountains, hills and heather-filled glens of the tranquil countryside of Ross-shire, Caithness and Sutherland.
